Gruha Lakshmi Scheme: Eligibility, Registration, Benefits and How To Apply Online ?

• The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is an initiative introduced by the Karnataka Government to provide monthly financial assistance of Rs.2,000 to the female heads of households. The scheme aims to benefit approximately 1.20 crore women residing in the state.
• The primary objective of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is to support and enhance the livelihood of women. It specifically targets housewives, landless women, and female agricultural workers. The financial assistance is provided through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, ensuring that the funds are directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
• The scheme is scheduled to be implemented in either Hubballi or Belagavi on 17 to 18 August, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expected to oversee its launch. Once the scheme is operational, eligible women will start receiving the financial support directly into their bank accounts.

The eligibility criteria for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme are as follows:

1. Women should belong to Antyodaya, Below Poverty Line (BPL), and Above Poverty Line (APL) families.
2. The women must be identified as the head of the family in the Antyodaya, BPL, and APL ration cards issued by the Government.
3. Only one woman per family is eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.
4. Women who are government employees are not eligible to avail the scheme’s benefits.
5. Women who are taxpayers, either paying income tax or filing Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, are not eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.
6. If the husband of the woman who is the head of the family is paying income tax or filing GST returns, the women in that family will not be eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.

How to apply for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme 

1. Application will starts from 19 July 2023
2. Visit the Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal, ( https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in/index.html ) which is the official government portal for various schemes.
3. Look for the ‘Gruha Lakshmi Yojana‘ option on the portal.
4. Click on the ‘Click here to download application’ option, which should lead you to the application form download page.
5. Download the ‘Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme‘ application form from the provided link.
6. Print out the application form.
7. Fill in the required details on the form accurately and completely.
8. Gather the necessary documents as specified by the scheme guidelines.
9. Attach the required documents to the filled-out application form.
10. Once the application process is open, submit the completed form along with the attached documents. You can submit it either at the Karnataka Gram One Centre or at the Assistant Director of Women and Child Development office in your respective district.
